Administrative Bishop
Bishop Billy W. Adams serves as Administrative
Bishop for Georgia for the Church of God of Prophecy.
His responsibilities include, but are not limited to, directly
supervising the state office, staff, programs, and ministers.
He is responsible to appoint pastoral leadership for each local church
and committee to serve within the state of Georgia.
Among his responsibilities, he is to develop and encourage the leadership
of our state. In a sense, he is the
pastor for the entire ministry in his area.
His administrative and supervisory duties are to oversee the state.
It is his goal to unite the membership and pastoral leadership in an
effort to see God's purpose and commission carried forth; as well as,
launching new challenges and ministry efforts within our state.
In 2002, the Adams' were appointed as
Administrative Bishop of the Northwest Territory (Montana, Wyoming, North
Dakota, South Dakota) where he served for four years.
From there he was appointed to Georgia in the fall of 2006.
Prior to his role as Administrative Bishop Bro. Adams held several
pastoral positions in Mississippi and one in Georgia. He has served as state evangelist and has severed on various
state committees.
Bro. Adams is a native of Mississippi where
he was reared in a pastor's home. Currently
he is enrolled in the Church of God Theological Program in an effort to further
pursue and develop his education. Bishop
Adams was married to his wife Charlotte in 1985.
He and his wife Charlotte have been blessed with two boys Seth and Caleb
Adams. The family currently resides
in Lizella, Georgia.
